Russell completed his CDTC in 2005 and has the distinct honor of being a PADI Platinum Course Director since its introduction in 2006 and has already met the PADI Instructor certification level criteria for his Platinum Course Director rating for 2008. As a full time member of staff at Mermaids 5* Career Development Center, Russell has been involved in over 45 IDC's and has over 1000 professional certifications . Originating from New Zealand, Russell has lived in Thailand for 8 years and has dived all over South East Asia and many other countries.
